Einstein's Dream

主讲人: Andrei Khrennikov 教授(International center for mathematical modeling in physics, engineering and cognitive science, University of Vaxjo,Sweden)

时  间: 2009年5月7日(星期四)下午3:00-4:00

地  点: 数学科学学院 412 报告厅

主  办: 数学科学学院

介  绍: We recall that until last days of his life Albert Einstein did not believe in

COMPLETENESS of QM. In spite of all no-go theorems (e.g. von Neumann's theorem),

he was sure that one could go BEYOND  QM, i.e., to constuct a more fundamental

theory, which would predict results of individual quantum experiments (and not only probability distributions). In this talk we shall present one such model, so called requantum classical statistical field theory. In this model the role of hidden variables is played by classical random fields fluctuating on scales of time and space which are finer than scales of QM. Mathematically it is a classical (stochastic) mechanics with INFINITE DIMENSIONAL  phase space. Thus the price for determinism is sufficiently high -- infinite dimension of teh phase space. Symplectic structure of this space is crucial to reproduce the complex structure of QM
