主讲人简介：Dr. Ji Shen，2001年北京大学地球物理系本科毕业，2006年美国Washington University in St. Louis 物理系获得Ph.D. in Physics (Education)，2006-2008年在University of California, Berkeley学习科学中心从事博士后研究。现任University of Georgia 数学与科学教育系助理教授。研究领域有：model-based teaching and learning in physical sciences; modeling and visualization in technology-enhanced science education; assessment in science education; epistemology and learning theories等等。

备  注：本次讲座内容简介：What is science education? In this workshop, I will introduce science education as a multidimensional field that goes beyond simply teaching science concepts. Participants will learn and discuss a variety of themes including the nature of science, conceptual learning in science, equity, and student motivations. Science education and science teacher preparation in the U.S. will also be briefly introduced.
