备  注：摘要：Some mixed elliptic-hyperbolic problems arising in gas dynamics and differential geometry will be considered. In particular, the mixed type problems of the transonic flow past an obstacle and the isometric embedding will be discussed. Our recent results including the connection of the two problems will be presented.
