报告摘要:

Today a wide range of nanostructures is available. Our research in the field of functional nanostructures focuses on different aspects: (i) study of the effects of reduced dimensionality on the electronic, vibrational, optical and magnetic properties; (ii) finding ways of employing nanostructures in a controlled way in devices; (iii) developing novel ways of detecting and identifying nanostructures in different environments. Some examples will be discussed such as the effect of reduced dimensionality of the Förster energy-transfer within the system in Mn-ions in ZnMnS, the controlled assembly of ferromagnetic MnAs clusters to planar magneto-electronic devices or the development of methods based on Raman-spectroscopy for detecting nanoparticles in food products in the context of food safety.
