摘  要: To meet the global energy consumption increase and fight the limited supply and environmental challenges, signification political, scientific and industrial efforts have been devoted to the promotion of renewable energy development. Photovoltaic is often under the spotlight due to its availability, scalability and low maintenance cost. However, significant materials and manufacturing limits pose serious economical viability questions of the technology. This presentation will provide an overview of the history, availability, and current and emerging photovoltaic technology so that the audience can form their own opinion this technology.
